iPhone 12 Price In Nigeria

The smartphone does not come with a charging brick in the box, although the charging port is still on the device. We will discuss the charger as well as other features including the price of the device, later in this write up.

iPhone 12 Price In Nigeria

The iPhone 12 price in Nigeria begins at 304,420 Naira for the 64GB model. The 128GB model goes for about 326,870 Naira while the 256GB model can be gotten for about 365,370 naira.

Design / Display

If you describe the design of the iPhone 12 as a blend of the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 11 then you will not be wrong.

The iPhone 12 comes with smooth and flat edges which is what is obtainable with the iPhone 5, iPhone 4, and the iPhone SE.

The rear and front panel have traces of the iPhone 11 elements on it. The notch was not reduced and enthusiasts who wanted the notch gone will just have to make do with it.

The display measures 6.1-inches which is similar to what the iPhone 11 offers. But there is a notable upgrade here and that is the movement from LCD panel to a Super retina XDR OLED panel.

This display has a resolution of 1170 x 2532, as well as a density of 460 PPI. There is however, a noticeable absence of a 120Hz refresh rate and a lot of persons were really looking forward to it being featured in the iPhone 12.

The 6.1-inches display comes with a Ceramic Shield for protection and according to the phone manufacturers the Ceramic Shield offers four times the drop protection that the older iPhones have.

This ceramic shield is made up of ceramic glass crystals, which were placed inside the glass layer and this way the smartphone has a very strong screen. There is no doubt that a lot of persons will be happy with this feature.

Magsafe on an iPhone

One of the much talked about feature of the iPhone 12 is Magsafe. This Magsafe was first seen on Apple Macbooks.

If you are wondering what a Magsafe is, well Magsafe is a circular magnet on the rear of the device, which will help align wireless chargers quicker using a snap mechanism. Apart from chargers, Magsafe can also be used to attach other accessories such as cases, third-party wallets, etc.

iPhone 12 Cameras

The iPhone 12 features the same camera set up that is obtainable with the iPhone 11, but a noticeable difference is that the iPhone 12 comes with a smaller aperture, which can be clearly observed in the primary rear camera.

We will begin with the rear camera which is a dual rear camera set up. This includes a 12MP wide camera with an aperture of f/1.6, in place of the f/1.8 aperture that the iPhone 11 boasts of.

The f/1.6 aperture really helps when it comes to low light photography and portrait photography. You should also know that the iPhone 12 supports portrait photography in low light conditions.

The second camera in the dual rear camera set up of the iPhone 12 is a 12MP ultra wide camera that has an aperture of f/2.4 and a 120˚ field of view.

This camera set up supports Video recording at 4k 60fps, and some people are not thrilled by this, since devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S20 plus boast of 8k video record.

The front facing camera of the iPhone 12 is a 12MP camera and it also supports night mode photography, which means that you will be at your A-game for your selfies even if they are taken in low light conditions.

iPhone 12 Hardware

When it comes to performance hardware, it is quite obvious that Apple is pushing the boundaries with the world’s first 5nm processor on a mobile phone as that is what the iPhone 12 is fitted with. It is also equipped with the Apple A14 bionic chip which is what is obtainable with the Apple iPad Air 2020.

The smartphone also features Apple’s quad-core GPU and comes with 4GB RAM.

When it comes to storage capacity, the iPhone 12 ships in three models and they are the 64GB model, the 128GB model and the 256GB model. The different storage capacity also means that they will have different price tags.

An iPhone Without a Charger in the Box

Most persons were already suspecting that the iPhone 12 including its other siblings in the series will not have a charger in the box.

According to the phone manufacturers, not adding a charger in the box reduces the size of the package and by so doing, the number of vehicles needed for shipping will be reduced and this helps to tackle carbonic emission.

While some totally agree with Apple, that this move will help reduce ecological harm, there are also some that view this as a move to draw attention to its mag safe chargers, and by so doing increase sales.

The good news however, is that Apple did not remove the charging port so the phone enthusiasts can just buy charging bricks separately and they are good to go.

It promises a 20W fast wired charging, which provides the phone users with 50% charge in 30 minutes. It also supports 15W wireless charging.

iPhone 12 Software

Moving On to the software department, it features the iOS 14.1, which provides the phone users with all the latest perks as well as the newly introduced widgets.

Connectivity

With the iPhone 12, Apple still maintained the lightning port. The cord that the smartphone comes with has a lighting connector on one side and there is a USB-C connector on the other side.

Other connectivity features that the iPhone 12 boasts of include NFC, Bluetooth as well as dual band WiFi.

First 5G iPhone

Good news to the lovers of iPhone as the iPhone 12 features 5G connectivity. This makes it the first iPhone to come with 5G and frankly, it was really expected and many would have been disappointed otherwise.

Provided you have 5G coverage in your area, you are sure to make the most out of the iPhone 12 as you get to enjoy smooth high definition video streaming, faster downloads and uploads, etc.

Due to the 5G connectivity that the iPhone 12 supports, some people are worried that it may drain their phone battery faster but to tackle that challenge, Apple introduced what they refer to as “Smart Dara Mode”.

The “Smart Dara Mode” is a feature which enables the iPhone 12 to switch automatically to 5G whenever it is needed.
