There is no doubt that Congee Village is loved by a lot of people and is doing well in business. They keep opening up new locations and all of their spots enjoy a lot of patronage from lovers of Chinese cuisine.
If you are in love with the Congee Village at Lower East Side, then you will be happy to know that another spot has been opened and that is the Congee Dim Sum House situated at 207 Bowery, New York, NY 10002, just between Delancey and Rivington and you can call them on 212-796-2886.
This makes it the third location under the belt of Peter Liang and Ricky Lang, owners of Congee Village Restaurant & Bar in Flushing. The father and son duo keeps raising the bar when it comes to food service in a really nice environment.
We cannot fail to mention that the Congee Dim Sum House is really massive as it boasts of a huge 180-seat dining room. If you consider that to be so amazing, wait till you hear that there are also three private rooms where patrons can relax and enjoy their food.
There is also a full bar and mezzanine area, Karaoke, and in addition to serving Congee Village classics there is extensive dim sum and a really amazing menu that was clearly well thought out. So you see that having a good time is assured in this restaurant.
Speaking of the amazing menu, let us throw more light on that. At the Congee Dim Sum House, the Cantonese cuisine that the Liang’s restaurants are famous for is well represented and there is much more. They serve Dim Sum round the clock and there are 37 different options to choose from. If this isn’t a very good example of the term spoilt for choice then what is?
The options include; pork stomach with white pepper, siu mai, beef tripe with satay sauce, beef omasum with ginger and scallion, pork soup dumplings, etc.
There is also a nice selection of congee and dishes such as lobster with sticky rice, pan-fried lamb chops with peppers and onions, etc.
Their seafood menu includes; sea cucumber, fish maw, Dungeness and blue crab, etc.
And now to their desserts, they have egg tarts, pineapple buns, piggy lava buns filled with egg custard, etc.
If you would like to pay them a visit, the Congee Dim Sum house opens every day from 11am-10pm.
