Research has shown that Nigeria’s outbound student mobility is more than that of other African countries.
A lot of Nigerian students love the idea of furthering their studies abroad. In 2020 alone, about 100,000 Nigerian students got admission in schools abroad, regardless of the pandemic across the globe.

Bilateral Education Agreement Scholarships
One of the scholarships that you can apply for is the Federal Government Scholarship Awards for the Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA).
They offer scholarships for students who want to undertake undergraduate, master’s as well as PhD programmes.
For those interested in the undergraduate programme, it spans across 14 study subject areas examples of which are law, geology as well as engineering.
For those interested in Master’s or PhD programmes, you will be glad to know that it is available in all fields.

Entrance Scholarship for African Students Studying in English
Canada’s University of Ottawa has made it known that they wish to promote diversity and one of the ways of achieving this is through the Scholarship for African Students Studying in English. You have to be aware that this is an automatic offer.
What this means is that if you are a full time student in the school’s undergraduate programmes offered in English or with the French Immersion option in chosen programmes under the Faculty of Social sciences and Faculty Science, then no application is required.
The award is valued at CAD$12,500 yearly.

Reach Oxford Scholarship
As you must already know, the University of Oxford in the UK is a world renowned university and it is a dream of a lot of Nigerian students to further their education there.
The good news is that you can do this through the Reach Oxford Scholarship. The scholarship takes care of course fees, provides a grant for living costs as well as one return air fare yearly.
This is a really great opportunity but only two to three of said scholarship is awarded yearly. That should not stop you from applying as you might be among the two or three successful ones.

Global Korea Summer Scholarship
You can also check out the Global Korea Summer Scholarship. This scholarship lasts for five weeks and provides an opportunity for participants to get thorough academic training as well as leadership skills.
This is so that they will have positive impact in the world around them with the knowledge and experience garnered. Another advantage is that this is also an opportunity to experience and get to know more about Korean culture.
This scholarship takes care of room and board for the duration of the programme, a round-trip air ticket, and insurance.
Selected universities under the National Institute for International Education, have the responsibility of picking those who will be awarded the scholarship.
